Ron Peer
Screenwriter, Playwright & Filmmaker
A Phoenix native, I attended Arizona State University and received degrees in Business and English. As a result of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition, my semi-finalist script GOODBYE, LOVER was produced by New Regency — with two-time Oscar nominee Roland Joffe (The Mission, The Killing Fields) directing. The film was released in April of '99 in theaters across the country.
My second feature, I LOVE YOU, BABY, with Academy Award-winner Maximilian Schell and Mark Keller, was theatrically released in Germany in April 2000. In addition, my thriller, FALLING ROCKS, was shot completely on location in South Africa and aired on German television in the summer of 2000. As a playwright. I have had over twenty plays produced in the Phoenix area, a few of them being FILLING THE CAVITY, LOVE JUICES, and SUBURBAN SEXIST NEO-NAZI SCUM. My satirical short play THEY STOLE HEMINGWAY'S BRAIN has been performed as far away as Czechoslovakia. (Okay, so it's called the Czech Republic now.) Recently, I have been making my own films. My critically-acclaimed short film, THE SPIRITUAL COCKROACH, played at the Damah Film Festival in 2003 and at many other venues.
Here I am with cast members Jerry DeShazo and Mitzi Lynton.
Here's a photo from THE TAMING OF THE PUCKS, another short film.
NEW BOOK
I am pleased to announce the release of my book (written with my mentor Jerry DeShazo): The Gift of Love: The Secret to Improving Your Work, Relationships, and Life in Only 10 Minutes a Day. This short, fun book is a guide for using The Gift of Love process to transform your life. For a limited time this book is being offered for only 99 cents in Kindle (Amazon) and Nook (ePub) formats.

I am often asked where to get where to get screenplay formatting software. Here's a link to some free templates that are based in Microsoft Word:
